I honestly thought we would have seen another signing by now

A couple of months ago I would have never thought we’d sell Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure while signing just one player, a centre back, in the entire transfer window. With a day and a half left in the transfer period those are the only alterations to Arsenal’s squad, and at this stage it looks like it will remain that way.
Thomas Vermaelen was signed from Ajax two and a half months ago, while it has been well over a month since Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure departed to Manchester City. Arsene Wenger has had all that time to seek out a replacement, and even though I had an inkling he’d leave an further signings til late in the window, I think if we were going to sign the defensive midfielder and centre back everyone was hoping for at least one of them would have joined by now.
Either way, I’m optimistic about this season. Early season form from the likes of Alex Song and Denilson has shown that they are finally making the step up from promising youngsters to established first-teamers, and the partnership of William Gallas and Thomas Vermaelen gives me great confidence at centre back. Beyond those two we look a bit thin, but with Johnny Heitinga joining Everton today I think Philippe Senderos may be staying after all.
I was worried that our recent form convinced Arsene that there is no need for reinforcement, but Le Boss is notorious for leaving signings late, and the fact that there are no rumours doesn’t mean he isn’t looking for a new player or two.
We could do with an extra body or two in the squad (if only to keep Mikael Silvestre off the pitch) although it wouldn’t be the end of the world if we didn’t bring anyone in. Actually scrap that. Chamakh, Hangeland and Matuidi by close of business on Tuesday or I want Wenger out!

STop moaning and support the team, we are playing better than ever and I believe we have enough cover, for different positions, we have Djourou/Senderos in defence the midfield is packed with talent, and we enough strikers and attacking midfield like Arshavin/Theo/Rosick,Nasri they will al come back and we will do well this season!

Though we hve great and quality players, and will leave to The Boss, to take care of who he wants, I still fel he does want Chamach and our legend Viera. Matuidi can be an additional and a good signing. By tomoro morning it will be a diferent story alltogether. One or two will be in.
If it was my choice, I wud hve gone for a different and more offensive player : Aiden Mc Geady. He is gud with the ball and his style of play suits us better.

The boys are playing very fine at the moment ,yes we cant dispute that but remember what happened the during the past two seasons.They fade away at the most crucial stage because they simply don’t have the experience to perform at the very crucial stages. Please ,Arsene , we have faith in you but you may never win anything if you don’t add the necessary experience to the team .Please sign more players !!!!!!

I too would like to see a couple of bodies, but I think as fans we should let Arsene do his Job and select the players he wants and stop throwing out names. Arsene has not gotten players he brought into Arsenal wrong, he does not select his signings from Youtube. We all need to Just support the Damn team and be patient.
Pls Asene, we need energy in d midfield. So we can equally be offensive and i think d St Etine guy is d ans, following his histor.

Don’t forget that we have Senderos back as well. I think he is as good as a signing, especially as it will see Silvestre being 5th choice.

no point of every1 talking about transfers as transfers from europe and england are all closed looks like we aint bringing anyone in now and already we have cesc, nasri, rosicky, walcott all out thats a whole attacking midfield line out, no chamakh, no matuidi, no hangeland or any “experienced person at the back” like wenger said, SO INSTEAD ARSENE WHY DONT YOU JUST SAY FROM THE START THOMAS VERMAELEN IS OUR LAST SIGNING UNTIL NEXT YEAR.
